Christmas morning!

This year, my parents had a house full of people spending the night at their house on Christmas Eve, so Anthony and Austin decided to stay with Trey and I. We all woke up pretty early on Christmas morning and headed over to my parents house to open gifts and eat our traditional Christmas waffles that Mom makes every year. It was a wonderful Christmas and we are so blessed to have so many family and friends around us........not to mention the awesome gifts! Trey and I got SOOOOO much stuff for the baby. This little boy is going to be spoiled rotten! But, the best gift actually came in Trey and I's stockings. My parents gave us a trip to Mexico in October!! AND...they're keeping the baby. We're so excited....and I'm sure we'll need the break come October. Thanks everyone for a wonderful Christmas!!

Austin opening his gift from Trey & I. He always holds up the gift and tells us exactly what he thinks is inside...and he's usually correct! This year, we decided to trick him. We put a can of dog food in his gift box so that it would be heavy and he wouldn't guess that he was getting a gift card. He was not thrilled with that little prank! Anthony got it all on video!

Each year, we celebrate Christmas Eve at Emily & Gary's house (my aunt and uncle). This year was no different. Always lots of fun, food and laughter!

Christmas - 2009

After "Christmas is for Children", our family (Trey's side) celebrated Christmas. The guys decided to take the kids to ride go-karts first. We didn't get many pictures of that, but they had a blast! We decided to make our Christmas dinner an easy one, so we ordered Mama's Pizza....yummy! All of the adults bring a gift for the gift exchange which is affectionately called: "Dirty Santa" because we steal back and forth from each other. This year was especially fun because Houston and Kathryn had a big surprise for everyone (and themselves!). One of their gifts was a letter explaining that they did not know the sex of Baby M but whomever happened to choose their gift would have the pleasure of announcing the sex to the entire family. Well.......it didn't work out quite like they thought it would. Trey chose their present, read the letter and then decided that he wasn't going to tell anyone the sex of the baby. Go figure!! We were all about to kill him. Luckily, I was next in line for a turn. Instead of choosing a gift, I stole the letter from Trey (he was not happy with me)! So, I got to announce to the entire family...including Houston and Kathryn for the first time that Baby M is a GIRL!! Everyone was so excited. Here are some pictures from our Christmas:

Christmas is for Children - 2009

Trey's mom started a new tradition last year called: "Christmas is for Children". She and Ed invite lots of family and friends and we all celebrate together on December 20th. There's always tons of games for the children: breaking a pinata filled with candy, playing "pin the nose on Rudolph" and telling Santa Claus (who happens to be Austin!) what they want for Christmas. And, of course there's TONS of food! This year was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Here are some new pictures of the house. They finished all of the "rock" on the outside...which means I need to figure out paint colors for the rest of it! They're in the process of doing all the electrical and plumbing these days. Hopefully, we'll get a good inspection and start sheet-rocking soon! I'm ready for the inside to start looking like a real house.....
