Daddy testing out the Baby Bjorn!
Trey decided to take Hudson out to the Colonial golf tournament and they had a great time. At least Dad did! Trey texted me while they were out on the course and said that Hudson was fast asleep. Hmmm...not much interest in golf just yet. So much for Hudson being the next Tiger Woods! :)

Austin's 31st Birthday

Saturday, May 30, 2009 | | 0 comments

Austin wanted to go to Pappa's Burger for his birthday this year. My parents were thrilled with this...much cheaper than his 30th birthday which we spent in Las Vegas! He had a great time and loves being the center of attention. He even made a birthday toast to himself! Happy Birthday Austin!!

New House!

After 11 months of planning and building, we're FINALLY moving into our new home!! All of the inspections were signed off and now we're just waiting on the electric company to do their thing....which seems to be taking much longer than it should. Anyway, here are a few pictures.

Memorial Day

Monday, May 25, 2009 | | 0 comments
Our friends, Carlton & Jennifer invited us out to their house for Memorial Day. We cooked hot dogs, layed by the pool and had a great time. I tried to get Hudson to sleep, but he wanted no part of that. There were lots of kids playing in the pool and he wanted to watch all of the action. Needless to say, he was exhausted when we got home. He had a good time though....especially hanging out with his friend, Emery! She was so sweet. She wanted to hold his hand and she even gave him a one of her blanket's to use.

Bye-Bye 1st Home

Most of you already know that we sold our house. We've been soooo busy trying to pack up and get everything moved out. And....it's a very hard task to do when you have a new baby!! Not to mention, we've lived in this house for 10 years. I couldn't believe all of the junk we had accumulated over the years. We've definitely given away a TON to Good Will. We finally got the last stuff moved out and closed on May 10th. It was a bittersweet moment. This was our very first home and we've had so many great memories in this house. We're going to miss this wonderful neighborhood! I had to post a couple of pictures so that Hudson can see where he spent the first 8 weeks of his life.

All empty!!!

Two Months Old

Sweet Hudson- we can't believe you're already 2 months old! The time has flown by so fast. You are getting to be such a big boy. You've had quite a bit of turmoil in your life over the last few weeks. We've been moving and packing and I'm sure it hasn't been easy on you. But, you've done great! We recently sold our house and moved in with your grandparents(my mom and dad) until our new house is completed. Dr. M warned us that the move might stress you out and I think it did....a little. The change in environment made you very restless at night and you were quite fussy for the first few days. But, you've gotten used to your new place now and have been a perfect angel lately!

We should be moving into our new house any day now and I'm dreading having to uproot you all over again. Sorry, little buddy! I promise we'll get you all settled in as soon as possible. And...you'll have your very own room (I think it's the biggest in the house, to be honest).

You've grown so, so much in the last month. We went for your 2 month check up and you were 23" long and weighed 11 lbs. 3.5oz! You also had to get your shots which wasn't any fun for you (or me). You're such a smart boy that you started to cry as soon as you heard Dr. M's voice. I think you knew what was about to happen. Even Dr. M had a good laugh about it and commented that you were a very observant baby. You were very brave though and only cried for a few minutes.

You've started to smile a lot lately. Especially in the mornings when we get you out of your crib. You're always so happy to see us! And we love, love, love to see that big, gummy grin that you give us. You've also started to "talk" to us quite a bit. And you love to "talk" to your "friends" that hang above your crib. Sometimes we hear you let out a loud, excited scream and it cracks us up. The first time you did that I ran into your room thinking something was wrong, but I quickly realized you were just having fun.

You're eating more and more and sometimes we feel like we feed you every hour, but you're a growing boy and we know you need it! We've been trying to feed you all you need during the day so that you'll sleep more at night. It's not working out quite like we'd expected, but hopefully you'll get the hang of it pretty soon.

You are such a good baby and we're having so much fun with you. Happy 2 months, Graham Cracker (your dad's nickname for you)! We love you so much!

We went to Joe T's with Aunt Erin and Uncle Perry today and sat outside. Hudson loved being outside and definitely enjoyed all of the attention he got...

Bath Time

Saturday, May 2, 2009 | | 0 comments
Hudson absolutely loves his bath time. He used to hate getting out and would scream, but ever since our friends, Carlton, Jennifer and Emery gave him his frog towel...he hasn't minded so much. I even got a few pictues last night!

Dinner with Friends

Friday, May 1, 2009 | | 0 comments
We went to eat Mexican food with some friends this weekend. Hudson decided he was hungry right as we sat down for dinner. Our friends, Michael and Sommer brought their two little girls along as well. Lana was a big help! She's so sweet to Hudson and was constantly patting him on the head to make sure he was okay.
