My brother, Anthony lives in New York and is a producer for Good Morning America. He sent Hudson this cute GMA onesie and we had to take a picture of him for Uncle Anthony to see.

Watch out Diane, Robin, Chris and Sam....you've got competition!! :)

Workin' for a Livin'

Austin works at Potbelly every Tuesday and Thursday and absolutely loves it. A transportation service takes him and picks him up. He cleans tables, changes out the trash and talks to people as they come in. Lately though, they've been teaching him how to make the milkshakes and giving him a little more responsibility. He was so excited and so proud of himself. Naturally, he wanted Hudson to come see him at work. So, we went to visit him yesterday. Here are a few shots of Austin - working hard!

Cloth Diapers??

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 | | 0 comments
So...I decided to try out cloth diapers on Hudson. We're taking it very slow, but I really like them! And they're so cute. I have to be honest though....he hasn't had a dirty diaper in one yet, so I don't know how I'll handle that. I'm liking the Bum Genius 3.0 and the Fuzzi Bunz so far. Hudson seems to like them too. I'll keep you updated as we continue to test them out....

Uncle Austin's "car"

Wednesday, July 22, 2009 | | 0 comments
Austin comes to the office with me on Wednesdays and helps take care of Hudson while I work. It's been very helpful and he does an awesome job of entertaining Hudson. He brings his portable DVD player and they watch The Lion King and other movies. The other day, Austin was very anxious to show Hudson his "car". My parents bought Austin a Mule several years back when we lived in our old house that was on 16 acres. He used to drive it all over the property. It was great because he got to feel like he had his own car, just like Anthony and I. Since my parents moved back into town, it sits up at my dad's office. Make no mistake though, Austin drives it everytime he comes up to the office for a visit. It's his pride and joy! He wanted me to take some pics of he and his nephew in his car....so, here they are:

Gran Gran's 70th Birthday

Monday, July 20, 2009 | | 0 comments
We celebrated Gran-Gran's (Trey's mom) 70th birthday on Sunday by going to church and then hosting lunch at our house. It was the first time we'd ever taken Hudson to church and he did absolutely wonderful. He loved, loved, loved all of the music!! Once the sermon began, I gave him his bottle because he was starting to get a little fussy. Of course, since I was feeding him...I had to burp him also. I thought he might let out a small burp, but oh no....he let out the loudest burp! I'm sure people thought it was Trey because it sounded like it was coming out of a 200 lb. guy, not a 16 lb. baby. Everyone around us got a good chuckle! And Hudson immediately fell asleep in my arms. :) Trey and I need to go check out the nursery at our church. We used to volunteer in the nursery when we first got married and everyone was wonderful. I know Hudson will be in good hands.
After church, we went over to our house and Brent, Sheila, Katie & Sawyer surprised Gran-Gran by driving down from Oklahoma for the day. She loved it! Happy Birthday!!!!

Hudson's New Tricks

Tuesday, July 14, 2009 | | 2 comments
This past weekend was a big weekend for Hudson! He learned how to roll over and he learned that he can hold his bottle with his hands and his feet! HA! :) He's so proud of himself about rolling over. If you put him on his back now, he immediately flips to his tummy. He's also started flipping over in his crib and sleeping on his stomach. I'm not sure what to do about that???? I guess it's okay, but all of the dr's now are saying that baby's should sleep on their backs. Not much I can do about it though!

Four Months

Thursday, July 9, 2009 | | 0 comments
Hudson-Hudson-Hudson - these last four months have flown by. We have had so much fun with you...especially over the last few weeks. You're such a happy baby and we love watching your personality develop. Hopefully, you'll get the best of both your dad and I....and a little bit of your own as well!

Everyone always asks us who you look like and we're not really sure anymore. You look a lot like my baby pictures when I was your age, but I think you're starting to look more and more like your dad too. Gran-Gran Suzanne says it best: He looks like Hudson! And you do. You are very much your own person. We can already tell how independent you're going to be.

We just had your 4 month check up with Dr. M yesterday. You weighed 15 lbs. 12 oz. (90th %) and your length is 24 3/4" (75th %). You had to get 2 shots as well and you were such a trooper. Unfortunately, they were out of the 3rd shot (Prevnar) and we have to go back next week to get that one. You got pretty cranky as the day went on and I don't blame you. No one likes to get jabbed! We've switched your formula from soy to milk (lactose free) and you seem to be doing very well on it. You've gotten a little more patient when waiting for us to make your bottle. In the past, you would scream and cry until the bottle was in your mouth. Now, you watch us as we make it and patiently wait. Such a good boy!

We can tell that your vision has really increased. You can see things very far away now. You love to play peek-a-boo and you love to grab anything....I've finally come to the conclusion that I can't wear dangling earrings anymore! You've found your feet and they're always up in the air now. Your dad and I watch you on the monitor in the mornings as you lay in your crib and play with your feet and hands. You have so much fun entertaining yourself! You've also lost a lot of your hair recently. Your new hair is coming in very blond and I can't wait to see what you will look like in a couple of months.

You LOVE music. No surprise there since your daddy also LOVES music. I think you'll be very well rounded in that department. We've started putting our iPod in your crib and it plays all night for you. You're sleeping SO MUCH BETTER! You usually sleep from 8PM - 3-3.30AM. And you've even slept until 6am (but only once!) We'll get there eventually. You're doing great though!

You are a wonderful baby and growing up so fast. We are so blessed to have you and thank God each day for bringing you into our lives. We love you, Hudson!

These are pictures from our 4 month doctor's visit. Before we went in and after he had his shots. Poor thing!!!

Red, White & Blue

Saturday, July 4, 2009 | | 0 comments
This 4th of July was a little bit different than all of the others we've celebrated in the past! We're usually at the lake, but we layed low this year. Trey played in a golf tournament all weekend and Hudson and I hung out at my parents pool. We had a bunch of friends over to watch the fireworks later that night. We couldn't even see the Downtown fireworks since they started doing them at a new location. But, we got to see two other shows and they were really good! Hudson was extremely tired and never made it to the fireworks. You can see in the pictures below how sleepy he is. Funny to remember- this weekend last year is when we found out we were pregnant with Hudson. Oh, how time has flown by!!! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We're so lucky and blessed to be living in America.

Happy 4th of July from our little melon!

Pool Time!

Friday, July 3, 2009 | | 0 comments
We got Hudson in the pool for the first time this weekend. He seemed very content with it, but he never cracked a smile for us. I held him for awhile first and then we decided to try him in his little float. Still no smile though.... we'll try again next weekend!

Hmmm....spoiled??? Of course not.

We've been on a roll this week. I can't seem to stop buying things for this child! So far, he's gotten a new exersaucer, a new chair and a new "bathtub". We put him in his exersaucer last night and he wasn't so sure about it. Hopefully, he'll start enjoying it soon though.

We also bought him this cute chair! He loves it. And it will look so cute in his playroom. I can't wait to get that room finished. Pictures of the house will be coming soon. It's taking a lot longer to get things in order than I expected. I don't seem to have any time....I wonder why?!?!?

And lastly, I bought him this cute duck bath tub (it even quacks when you squeeze it's beak). Hudson had his first bath in it tonight. He splashed around and had a great time! Luckily, it fits perfectly in our kitchen sink.
