Thanksgiving was easy-easy this year! My parents went to Vegas and Anthony doesn't come home on Thansgiving. So...Austin joined us and we spent the holiday with Trey's entire family. Both of his brothers and their families came into town. The Oklahoma family arrived on WED evening and stayed at our house. They got to wake up bright and early to our little munchkin who loves to talk and jibber-jabber. There's no sleeping in at the Neville household. Sorry guys! But, how can you be annoyed when you wake up to someone as cute as this?????
Sawyer and Hudson having a face off!
I think Hudson won!
And we didn't even have to cook! We decided to make it really simple and go to the club for Thanksgiving lunch. They had 2 seatings this year and we chose the 11am seating so that we could all be home in time to watch the Cowboy game and take a mid-afternoon snooze. It was really very easy and our country club had a fabulous buffet...shrimp, salads, cheeses, breads, turkey, pork tenderloin, steak, dressing, mashed potatoes, and of course...... a huge dessert spread! They even had a kids buffet set up with chicken nuggets, mac n' cheese and pizza. We gave Hudson some small pieces of turkey, mac n' cheese and some mashed potatoes. He LOVED them all!!! And I even gave him a little bite of pumpkin pie. He liked it a lot too! I was never a "sweets" person before I got pregnant. In fact, I hardly ever ate sweets. During my pregnancy, that's ALL I wanted. I thought it might go away after I had Hudson, but that sweet tooth has stuck around! I'd rather have dessert than the turkey and dressing now. So strange! Anyway, we started off the meal with a champagne toast that Trey's mom asked Austin to give. He loves being the center of attention and absolutely loves giving toasts. That's his "thing"! He gave a toast to which he thanked God for our meal and our family - sometimes his toasts are a lot like prayers too. :)
Hmmm...Katie Belle, are you old enough to be drinking that champagne???
Then we all got down to business....and hit the buffet!
My dessert plate! Isn't that little turkey cute? Oreos, candy corns and a whopper for the face. I didn't eat it, but I had to get a picture. Pumpkin pie and cheese cake were the others!

Brent feeding Grace her first bite of "real" food ever. Mashed Potatoes!!
Cousin Grace (who is 2 months younger than Hudson) woke up sick on Thanksgiving. You could tell she didn't feel good throughout lunch, but she was quite the trooper. When they got back to Trey's parents house, they discovered she had a very high temp. It was over 103, so they took her to the ER. Turns out, she had double ear infections and an upper respiratory infection. Poor little thing!!! That part of the family ended up leaving early FRI morning to go back to Austin. Hopefully, Grace is feeling better now! And, we're praying that Hudson doesn't get it. They were only around each other on WED night for a little while, so maybe he won't. So far, he's just fine!
After lunch, Hudson and I headed home so that he could have his afternoon nap. Trey took Sawyer to the Cowboy game. Katie and Austin kept me company at our house, while everyone else gathered at Trey's parents (except for Kathy, Grace and Suzanne who headed to the hospital). We watched the game and then Hudson and I took a little walk to the park by our house.
It was a great Thanksgiving and we have so much to be thankful for!! Hope you all had a wonderful turkey day as well.
