Trey and Justin cookin' it up...
The finished product
I've known Justin since 2nd grade...when he used to turn his eyelids up and chase me around the playground to scare me. He's probably one of the funniest people I've ever met. I crack up the whole time he's around and Jane gets annoyed with me b/c I laugh at everything he says and it just eggs him on even more. She's always saying: "Sara...stop laughing at him. He'll just keep going..." hahaha! I can't help it, Jane! And she's pretty funny herself. Justin steals her material sometimes and it makes her reaaallly mad. Which makes me laugh even more.
So anyway, last night Justin dazzled us with his knowledge about figure skating. Who knew?? Do y'all know who this is??
I did not. Nor had I ever heard his name. It's Johnny Weir and he's a U.S. figure skater. He kind of reminds me of the Lady Gaga of figure skating. He's all about the show. Very flamboyant! As we watched each skater perform, Justin would say: "He's about to do his triple jump into a double axle" or "Oh, here goes his quadruple toe loop".....WHAAAT?!?! Trey and I were so baffled that he knew this stuff and Jane just sat on the couch with a look that said: Yep, that's my husband. He wears Uggs and knows every "element" about figure skating. I was dying laughing. It made for a fun evening. But then again....it's always a fun evening with J&J!
What did y'all do for Fat Tuesday???

That looks yummy!!! We went to the Mardi Gras parade here in Galveston! The boys were loaded up w/ beads! Good Times!
Oooo that etouffe looks awesome!!
Love your blue Le Creuset. I have several different colors but not that blue.
Please post recipe, I love shrimp etoufee.
Do they even make boy uggs?
I have a guy friend like that--he just knows what to say to get me CRACKING up. Everyone else is annoyed by it, but I can't help it! So fun to have those friends :)
Looks yum. I had a failed gumbo experience this weekend so no mardi gras here. Fat Tuesday was Mr. Mack's bday so we celebrated that instead. Sounds like a fun night at your house. Did you see the interview with Vera Wang on the Today show? She designed one of those skaters costume. Interesting interview.
