Isn't it wonderful when you come home to a clean house and dinner cooking on the stove??? Ahhh....I love that. And it's exactly what I came home to yesterday. No, Hubby didn't clean the house. We have Miss A that comes every other week for that, but he DID cook dinner. And the house smelled awesome when I walked in. He made this recipe and I have to say that it's the BEST stew I've ever eaten. We've had it several times now and it's become one of our favorites. And it's so easy! We top ours with mashed potatoes and cook it in the oven a little longer. Absolutely delish!!

After work, I ran in the house with Hudson...strapped him in his high chair, threw some puffs out there for him to snack on, ran back to our room and changed into my work out clothes. Went back to Hudson and fed him a quick dinner of mac n' cheese, apples and sweet potatoes.

Ran out the door to the gym. Realized I forgot to get Hudson's antibiotics from my parents house when I picked him up. Drove back to their house after my work out to get the meds. Got home and Hubby had also given the little monkey his bath and put his pj's on! WOW!!! So thankful. And so impressed.

After putting Hudson to bed, Hubby and I enjoyed a relaxing evening of stew, wine and The Bachelor. Gotta love that.

I also finished my 2nd book of 2010.

Not so sure I'd recommend it. It was okay and a fast read, but it was disturbing and it made me wake up several times during the night to check Hudson's monitor. So.... now I need a new book! Any recommendations???

Yesterday I posted the video of Hudson pushing his grocery cart to the pantry and I said that we do that 100 times a day. Well....we also climb the stairs 100 times a day. We haven't put the child gates up yet and I'm not sure if we will. I'm afraid that if we put the gate up, it will attract him even more and he'll just want to pull himself up on the gate. I do think we'll put one at the top of the stairs, but maybe leave the bottom one off. I don't know. Did y'all use gates for your stairs?

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Ciao!

Stew. Not good in this house.

We had a gate for Jack and then had to take it down for Lainey. Jack was 16 months old when Lainey was born, so I was still carrying him.....and couldn't open the gate with 2 babies in my arms! We took it down and just kept a careful watch on them both.

I think your hubby should get an award! Wow made dinner and gave the baby a bath! Sounds like you had a great evening!

He's a little mover! I worry so much about the stairs and the girls because they're wood. I've fallen up them before and it HURTS. I need to invest in a carpet runner thing so that I can rest a little easier. Josie's fallen down them and survived somehow. I bout had a heart attack. Do what you need to do to rest assured!

You have a winner! Cooked and bathed. There is NOTHING better than coming home to a clean house. NOTHING! I don't know what I think about the gate and stairs. I recently caught a child rolling down ours. Just as I caught him, he was recovering all on his own. We just got stairs this summer so I didn't raise a toddler on them. I am sure they would whip me.
