Christmas Eve 2011

I was going to try and fit Christmas Eve and Christmas Day into one post, but there's just too many pictures. We celebrated Christmas Eve by going to church with Trey's parents (it's become a tradition). They also gave Hudson several small gifts and wanted him to open one each day in the days leading up to Christmas. He loved that!
This picture is from the one he opened on Christmas Eve morning.
It was Kevin the Crane from Thomas and Friends.
Chunky monkey in his Christmas pj's.
I don't think I posted any Christmas decoration pictures, so here's our tree.
I got smart this year and bought all shatterproof ornaments for the bottom of the tree.
 The mantle
 The stairs and the piano
A Christmas Eve tantrum. It wouldn't be Christmas without one of those, right??
After church, we went over to my Aunt and Uncle's house. This year was interesting with a 2.5 year old in their house - it's not "baby or toddler proofed" so Trey and I were playing defense all night to make sure Hudson didn't knock over any trinkets or spill on her new couch. Next year will be even more interesting with Hudson at age 3, John Robert at 18 months and new baby Eva Marie (my cousin is prego) will be 9 months by then. We may need to change venues at some point to a more kid friendly location.

Aunt Erin couldn't wait to give Hudson one of his gifts.
A big Curious George floor puzzle. He loves it!

Hudson's cheese face. Such a ham. Not sure where he gets that.
Ms. Evelyn and the boys. We love her. She kept my grandfather company and was a great friend to him after my grandmother died. We've kept in touch with her even after Papa passed away.
Anthony, Mom and John Robert without his helmet :)
And another one of this sweet boy.
The Guncles. Figure that one out.
John Robert loved his stuffed animal pillow from Evelyn.
Erin opening some goodies for Miss Eva Marie. She won't be spoiled at all.
A Family Pic. JR was donezo.
Eva Marie already has a pink cadillac. It has pedals, so she won't be able to use for 2-3 years, but she's got one! Perry says it's a USED car because Hudson's already driven it.
He didn't seem to mind that it was pink at all.

Hudson and I made cookies for Santa earlier that day. We set them out with a glass of milk (even though Santa prefers red wine and beer) and we left some carrots for the reindeer.
I've never seen Hudson go to bed so quickly. And we really thought he'd be up at the crack of dawn. But..... he didn't wake up til after 7.30 and we had to wake John Robert up at 8.30!

Christmas Day coming up next........

Saw these on Facebook and was wondering what then story was behind the pink cadi ... Surprised Trey let him pose in a pink car! Guncles - love it, assume it is a Hudsonism?! I was too lazy to separate my posts ... And crammed a bunch of pictures into one post. JR is precious!
